Delete Your PointUp Account
If you wish to delete your PointUp account and all associated data, please follow the steps below.
⚠️ Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Please ensure you want to delete your account before proceeding.
How to Request Account Deletion
Step 1: Open the PointUp app on your device
Step 2: Navigate to Settings (tap your profile icon, then Settings)
Step 3: Scroll to the "Account" section
Step 4: Tap "Delete Account" and confirm your decision
Alternative Method: If you cannot access the app, email us at
support@point-up.co.uk with the subject "Account Deletion Request"
and include your account email address or username.
What Data Will Be Deleted
When you delete your PointUp account, the following data will be permanently deleted:
- Account Information: Email address, username, display name, profile photo
- User Profile: XP, Gold, badges, statistics, achievements, streaks
- Quest Data: All quests you created or were assigned
- Proof Photos: All photos submitted as quest proof
- Rewards: All rewards you created or redeemed
- Family Data: Your membership in family groups (if you're the only member, the family will be deleted)
- Notifications: All notification preferences and history
- Settings: All app preferences and customizations
What Data May Be Retained
The following data may be retained for legal or operational purposes:
- Transaction Records: Payment and subscription records may be retained for up to 7 years as required by financial regulations
- Aggregated Data: Anonymous, aggregated statistics that cannot identify you personally
- Backup Data: Data in automated backup systems may be retained for up to 30 days before permanent deletion
Deletion Timeline
After you request account deletion:
- Immediate: Your account will be deactivated and you will no longer be able to sign in
- Within 24 hours: Your personal data will be removed from active systems
- Within 30 days: All data will be permanently deleted from our systems, including backups
Family Accounts
If you are a parent and delete your account:
- If you are the only parent in the family, the entire family account will be deleted, including all child accounts
- If other parents exist in the family, only your account will be deleted, and family access will continue for remaining members
If you are a child and delete your account:
- Only your child account will be deleted
- The family account and other family members' accounts will remain active
